Specialized in civil engineering and engineering structures, Bouygues Travaux Publics is one of the world leaders in the fields of land use planning and sustainable infrastructure construction. Bouygues Travaux Publics is committed to diversity and is open to all talents. We are recruiting a Senior Project Manager to lead the delivery of the Marine scope within the M&T Programme as part of the CWA (Civil Works Alliance) supporting the development of Sizewell C. This is a rare opportunity to play a defining role in one of the UK's most significant low‑carbon infrastructure projects. Sizewell C will generate 3.2GW of clean electricity for around six million homes and will provide dependable, low‑carbon energy for at least 60 years - making this a career move that genuinely contributes to the UK's energy future.
In this role, you will take responsibility for setting the strategy and driving the successful delivery of complex marine works across procurement, manufacturing, construction and commissioning. Ensure every phase meets the project's safety, quality, time and cost parameters, while recognising the wider interactions across the Civils Programme. Reporting to the Portion Leads and Directors for Marine & Tunnelling, lead the full life cycle of assigned contracts, providing direction, clarity and structure to multidisciplinary teams working in a highly technical environment.
Key responsibilities:
- Defining the work scope and managing the interfaces across the wider programme
- Securing and managing resources, maintaining SQEP standards and identifying team needs
- Developing strategies aligned to the Programme Execution Plan and ensuring clear communication with all stakeholders
- Driving delivery against schedule, budget and technical KPIs, applying Earned Value Management and reporting progress at senior level
- Anticipating and resolving issues, managing risk and ensuring contract compliance
- Leading package planning, maintaining level 3 schedules and reporting into level 1 and level 2 governance
- Producing weekly and monthly reporting for the senior leadership team
- Managing commercial elements including reviewing payment applications and supporting claim resolution
- Embedding continuous improvement, knowledge capture and lessons learned
The scope of work spans some of the most interesting and technically challenging marine activities in UK infrastructure today, covering both nearshore and offshore delivery. This includes jetty installation, HDD drives, dredging operations, heavy lifting, seabed asset installation, marine transport planning, vessel and personnel management, and the oversight of complex mechanical and steel fabrication. You will also lead operations across mobilisation ports, manage marine working zones and safety procedures, liaise with the Harbour Master, and oversee navigational risk assessments.
To succeed here, you'll bring a proven track record of delivering major projects in technically complex, fast‑moving environments, with a strong commitment to safety, quality and environmental excellence. You'll be confident managing engineering design, procurement, multi‑discipline delivery and complex contracts – ideally including NEC. Strong financial, project management and change management capability is essential, as are excellent communication, leadership and stakeholder engagement skills. Degree‑level education and chartered status in engineering, construction, physics or a related field are preferred, along with sound knowledge of CDM Regulations and recognised project management methodologies.
This is a chance to lead some of the most advanced marine engineering work in the UK, contributing to a nationally important project shaping the country's clean energy landscape for decades to come. If you're ready to take on this challenge, click the following link to apply.
