Specialized in civil engineering and engineering structures, Bouygues Travaux Publics is one of the world leaders in the fields of land use planning and sustainable infrastructure construction. Bouygues Travaux Publics is committed to diversity and is open to all talents.

As part of the CWA (Civil Works Alliance) we will support the building for Sizewell C. Sizewell C will be a 3.2-gigawatt power station generating low-carbon electricity for around 6 million homes and will play a key role in our energy future, supplying reliable, clean electricity for at least 60 years.

What You Will Do

  • Lead and develop a multi-skill level estimating team (Senior Estimator, Estimator, Assistant Estimator), mentoring junior members and fostering a collaborative, high-performing culture.
  • Develop cost planning and pricing strategies for Alliance Services and Plant & Logistics in accordance with SZC policies, procedures, and the client's estimating framework.
  • Prepare and review detailed costing documentation, including analysis of drawings, specifications, materials, labour, and equipment requirements.
  • Oversee estimating software utilisation across the team, managing estimates within Candy Estimating Software and Cost X Quantification Software.
  • Interrogate design options and identify value solutions, applying sound estimating principles to assess project attractiveness and viability.
  • Manage stakeholder relationships across planning, procurement, and supply chain partners to develop methodologies and understand project requirements.
  • Present, negotiate, and justify pricing decisions to senior leaders and external partners, demonstrating transparency and commercial acumen.
  • Record assumptions, risks, and opportunities, developing robust risk evaluations from a pricing and budgetary perspective.
  • Track and manage changes to estimates and budgets as project inputs mature and evolve.

What We Are Looking For

Essential Requirements

  • Infrastructure or Main Contractor experience, ideally within civil engineering.
  • Commercial or operational background considered.
  • Proficiency in Excel and similar software applications.
  • Excellent client-facing and communication skills.

Technical Competencies

  • Proven ability to undertake estimates in accordance with project policies and procedures.
  • Capability to produce various estimating documentation that can be assured both internally and externally.
  • Strong capability in stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Experience in labour, plant, material, and subcontract pricing development.

Desirable Requirements

  • Experienced background using Candy Estimating Software.
  • Experienced background using RIB Cost X Quantification & Estimating Software.
  • Knowledge of AACE principles of Estimating Class and associated maturity frameworks.
  • Chartered by a relevant industry-recognised body (e.g., ICE, CICES, RICS, CIOB).
  • Mobile and flexible approach to working.
