Bouygues UK has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Electrical Supervisor, part of the Building Services Team, to work on our renowned Oriel project. Oriel is a joint initiative to transform a two-acre site at St Pancras Hospital to deliver a pioneering eye care, research, and education centre. The project is a new build, state-of-the-art building with an anticipated gross internal area of up to 46,000m2. Designed with flexibility in mind, it will be able to meet future service requirements and keep pace with changes in technological, medical or research requirements. Its design has been the subject of an extensive programme of engagement with patients, staff and partner organisations to ensure a national standard for accessibility is created.
Responsibilities:
- Work alongside other members of the building services department on various projects to understand the requirements of the role on site.
- Collaborate with project managers and team members to develop detailed electrical project plans and timelines.
- Conduct site surveys, evaluate electrical programme activities, and determine equipment and materials required.
- Supervise and monitor progress of the M&E subcontractors ensuring quality, health and safety and programme requirements are met.
- Ensure that the Client receives the most appropriate engineering solutions.
- Assist and support the design and layout of electrical systems, including lighting, power distribution, and communication systems.
- Use computer-aided design (CAD) software to create electrical drawings and schematics.
Minimum Requirements:
- Experienced Electrician with Construction experience in Fitout.
- Experience gained with a main contractor or electrical sub-contractor.
- Understanding the importance of coordination and quality assurance throughout each phase of installation.
- Proven communication and presentation skills.
- Strong commitment to safety and understanding of electrical safety protocols and regulations.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Continuing Professional Learning CPD/Training.
