This job has a great opportunity available for a Commercial Manager to work on one of our upcoming long-term projects in Exeter.
Essential:
- Previous proven experience at a senior level in Quantity Surveying with a main contractor
- People and Subcontractor management
- Strong commercial awareness
- Demonstrates strong attention to detail and produces accurate work
- Communicates information and ideas proactively and confidentially, both verbally and in writing
- Has an approach to share knowledge with others
- Manages time effectively
Desirable:
- Degree or other technical qualification
- RICS / CIOB qualification
- Experience on £50m+ Projects
- Experience on residential or student accommodation
- Experience working on buildings over 7 stories
Job Purpose and Scope:
- Lead the commercial management over multiple projects or single large projects
- Optimise projects' net profitability and cash performance
- Lead, manage and advise on matters relating to Client Contract & Value
- Lead and manage the Procurement of Subcontractors and the Contractual & Financial management of Subcontractors
- Lead in the identification and management of risks and opportunities
- Provide accurate reports and forecasts of activity and net margin, utilising company tools & procedures
- Collaborate with the Production Director & keep the Commercial Director briefed on key issues and concerns
- Recruit, develop and manage commercial team members
