Bouygues UK is a leading construction and property development company in the United Kingdom. It is part of Bouygues Construction which employs 35,600 people around the world, all driven by the greatest and most exciting responsibility of all – building for life.

Bouygues Energies and Services have a role for a Performance & Production Monitoring Lead. In this role you will be responsible for supporting, coordinating, and monitoring the execution of daily construction activities within the Emergency Diesel Generators (EDG) scope of the HPC project. Based at Hinkley Point C, we are involved in the construction that will house the two European Pressurized Reactor (EPR) nuclear reactors. With a total capacity of 3.2 gigawatts, the Hinkley Point C plant will supply 7% of the UK's electricity consumption and provide electricity to over 5 million homes.

The role ensures that works are performed in line with the validated short-term plan (Construction activities plan for the next 10 days Shift “S+1”) and that the necessary preparation and readiness conditions are met to maximise the execution productivity and performance on site. The role is directly responsible for the preparation, coordination, and validation of the Shift S+1 Installation Plan, ensuring that building access, materials, documentation, and workforce resources are fully aligned. In parallel, the Site Performance & Production Monitoring Lead prepares and maintains a contingency "backup work" plan to mitigate the risk of unforeseen blockers or constraints.

The Site Performance & Production Monitoring Lead acts as a key interface between the field workforce (Black Hats, construction management) and the site team, ensuring effective coordination, accurate monitoring of production, timely resolution of site issues, and structured reporting to support project performance.

Skills

  • Proven relevant experience in construction site operations, with exposure to planning, performance monitoring, and engineering coordination – ideally within nuclear, energy, or large infrastructure projects.
  • Strong understanding of planning cycles, shift coordination, and construction workflows.
  • Highly credible in the field – able to challenge and support Black Hats and field supervisors constructively.
  • Good understanding of engineering concepts to effectively interface with Design Back Office and Site Engineering teams.
  • Strong proficiency in Excel and reporting tools – able to generate structured reports, dashboards, and performance analytics.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills – confident leading cross-functional meetings and working across disciplines (field, planning, engineering, QS, and management).

Personal Attributes

  • Strong sense of ownership and accountability.
  • Comfortable working autonomously in a fast-paced, field-intensive environment.

Our excellent benefits package includes:

  • Company share scheme.
  • 2 paid volunteering days a year.
  • Cycle to work scheme.
  • Season ticket loan.
  • Employee assistance programme.
