Bouygues Construction Australia, as part of the T2D Alliance, is delivering the Torrens to Darlington (T2D) NorthâSouth Corridor project in Adelaide. This onceâinâaâgeneration infrastructure program will transform the city's transport network and create longâterm opportunities for the local community.
As our commercial team continues to grow, we are inviting Expressions of Interest from Commercial professionals (Contracts Administrators / Quantity Surveyors at all levels) who want to be part of this landmark project.
About the Role
Unlike traditional Quantity Surveying roles in the UK, our Contracts Administrators / Quantity Surveyors are embedded within project delivery teams, with a strong focus on:
- Subcontractor management across multiple work packages.
- Claims and variations â assessment, negotiation, and resolution.
- Commercial interface with engineering teams to achieve bestâforâproject outcomes.
- Ensuring compliance with contractual and legislative obligations.
Our Commercial team members typically manage 15â30 subcontract packages at any one time, processing between $1mâ$15m per month in progress claims. This role is about driving value and outcomes through subcontract management and engagement in a complex project environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage subcontract procurement, administration, and closeâout on lump sum and schedule of rates contracts.
- Review and process variations, claims, and extensions of time/notice of delays.
- Maintain strong relationships with subcontractors and internal engineering teams.
- Provide accurate reporting on subcontractor progress and performance.
- Ensure compliance with project commercial systems, codes, and procedures.
About You
We are seeking professionals with:
- Degree qualifications in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Law, or Commerce (or equivalent).
- 2â10+ years' experience in commercial/contract administration within major infrastructure or civil construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of subcontractor management, claims handling, and contract administration.
- Ability to thrive in a fastâpaced environment managing multiple highâvalue packages.
- A collaborative approach and desire to contribute to one of South Australia's largestâever infrastructure programs.
