The Civil Works Alliance are recruiting a Digital Engineering Co‑ordinator, supporting the delivery of one of the UK’s most significant infrastructure programmes – Sizewell C. As part of the CWA, we are delivering critical civil works in support of Sizewell C, a 3.2‑gigawatt nuclear power station that will generate low‑carbon electricity for around 6 million homes. Sizewell C will play a vital role in the UK’s energy future, providing reliable, clean power for at least 60 years. This is an opportunity to apply your digital engineering expertise on a project of genuine national importance.
The Digital Engineering Co‑ordinator will be embedded within the Marine and Tunnelling team and will play a key role in implementing the project’s Digital Strategy and Digital Execution Plan. We are looking for a professional who can coordinate digital delivery across design, construction and handover, ensuring that models and data meet the Employer’s Information Requirements and project standards.
Key responsibilities include:
- Coordinating digital delivery processes and managing the Project Information Model throughout the construction lifecycle.
- Implementing digital processes, culture and technology across design, construction and handover stages.
- Federating models within the Common Data Environment to support coordinated, model‑based reviews.
- Reviewing model compliance, undertaking quality assurance, clash detection and data validation, and managing issue resolution.
- Supporting the delivery of graphical, non‑graphical and document information in line with the BIM Execution Plan.
- Supporting the integration of programme (4D), cost (5D) and asset data (6D) into digital models, including as‑built information for handover and commissioning.
- Educating and supporting project teams and the supply chain in the use of digital tools, standards and workflows.
- Developing and improving digital ways of working to increase efficiency, enhance quality, improve sustainability and support Zero Harm objectives.
Key competencies and experience required:
- Proven experience in digital engineering or BIM delivery within a design or construction environment.
- Strong capability in model authoring, coordination and review tools such as Revit, Navisworks, Tekla and Synchro.
- A solid understanding of BIM processes, Common Data Environments and industry standards including BS and PAS.
- Experience working with 3D, 4D and 5D models, model compliance, clash detection and data management.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work collaboratively under time pressure.
- A proactive approach to learning, professional development and supporting the digital upskilling of others.
