About the Role
At Bouygues UK, we seek a MEP Design Manager to support our MEP Unbundled strategy. This approach reduces reliance on the external market supply, ensuring better quality, safety, and control over project timelines. Projects are based in London and the South East (Sussex). You will provide overall design and engineering leadership/management for the business region(s), with responsibility for the delivery of design information. Our MEP project values typically range from £5M to £130M, from prequalification to completion, with an emphasis on work‑winning and preconstruction.
Skills Profile
- Substantial experience collaborating with a main contractor or large subcontractor.
- Degrees in a relevant subject are preferable, but we also consider people qualified by experience.
- Substantial experience in MEP Design.
- Proven in‑depth technical knowledge of MEP/Building Services.
- Proven people‑management (including mentoring) experience of managing/developing teams.
- An effective analytical person.
- Initiative‑taking, with proven organisational ability and drive to meet deadlines.
- Client‑driven with effective communication skills.
- Advocate for Health and Safety.
- Commercially astute.

- Member of the MEP Unbundled Strategy Core Team, contributing to strategic planning, business decisions, and overall performance of the business region.
- Ownership of key customer/consultant relationships, ensuring mutually positive outcomes where possible.
