Purpose of the role

To support the Quality Manager in establishing, overseeing, and measuring the effectiveness of quality‑management arrangements, and to drive improvement projects that optimise quality practices across the HPC project.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement and cascade the Bylor Quality Management System to project teams and suppliers; develop and deliver training materials.
  • Provide guidance, review, and comment on deliverables such as Quality Plans, Inspection & Test Plans, Quality Records, and related templates.
  • Manage non‑conformances in products and processes: identify causes, define corrective actions, and ensure implementation.
  • Approve Quality records for Life‑Time Quality record approval by the client, ensuring traceability of all works.
  • Track and support handover processes for rooms and buildings nearing completion, focusing on records and outstanding works.
  • Monitor quality outputs and KPIs; support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Escalate quality risks to senior management and intervene as required to ensure resolution.
  • Identify improvements, define actions, and follow up on implementation.
  • Promote management policies, objectives, and KPIs throughout the project.

Key Skills & Competencies

  • Excellent communication across all levels, including presentations to project teams, suppliers, and client organisations.
  • High organisational ability, adept at following processes and multi‑tasking to plan and complete multiple tasks simultaneously.

Additional Information

All positions with Bylor are employed directly by Laing O’Rourke or Bouygues Travaux Public and include competitive salaries, private medical insurance, a company pension scheme, and annual holiday allowance. Certain grades may also receive a company car allowance.
