We're looking for an Assistant Designer to join the creative team here at Boux Avenue, assisting with the design development across all departments – Lingerie, Nightwear, Swimwear and Glamour categories.
We are looking for a passionate team player who can help support the Designers across all aspects of design.
- Roles and Responsibilities
- Works with and supports Designers with the coordination of day‑to‑day activities and produces a high standard of CADs and tech packs to brief new designs to suppliers.
- Support the Design team with the coordination of day‑to‑day activities and take a proactive approach to managing tasks and priorities.
- Collaborate with Designers and wider teams to meet critical path deadlines and deliver the right designs at the right time.
- Support the briefing of trends and delivery of Design Briefs to indirect suppliers and global sourcing offices when required.
- Support the development of seasonal ranges, balancing new ideas with established core product.
- Work closely with Designers and Buying to help build balanced, commercially aligned assortments.
- Where required attend selection, sign‑off, and fit sessions, supporting preparation, documentation, and follow‑up actions.
- Build understanding of trade performance, identifying best and worst sellers and using insight to inform future ranges.
- Support trend research and analysis, contributing to mood boards, styling rooms, key shapes, and colour palettes.
- Develop a strong understanding of the critical path, managing own workload to meet deadlines.
- Collaborate effectively with Design, Buying, Merchandising, Technical, and Marketing teams.
- Maintain clear communication with the supply base under guidance, supporting effective working relationships.
- Actively seek feedback, learning, and development to build technical, creative, and commercial capability.
- Support and collaborate with fellow Assistant Designers, contributing to a positive team culture and shared learning.
What would we like to see in you?
- High level of proficiency in design related CAD software to include Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop.
- Works with and supports Designers with the coordination of day‑to‑day activities and produces a high standard of CADs and tech packs to brief new designs to suppliers.
- Has a great eye for upcoming trends and can support the designers in creating the trend packs.
- A positive and passionate team player who has heaps of energy.
- Will work closely with the design team to identify key shapes, colours and fabrics for the season.
- Will work collaboratively with the Buying, Technical and Merchandising teams in all aspects of range development.
- BA hons in Contour Fashion or Fashion (Interest in Lingerie and fashion).
