The role: The role is required to support the construction side of the business and to ensure the correct completion of works is carried out on our developments while ensuring that our working methods are performed correctly while actively encouraging safe working practices at all times. Working closely with teams around the business to ensure optimum satisfaction while undertaking a very active role based on a construction site aiming to achieve excellent quality and client satisfaction.
Key responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Contracts Manager to deliver the Project Programme, considering subcontractor, client, and material requirements.
- Attend project meetings, report on progress, and monitor subcontractors, direct labour, and key suppliers.
- Manage project and site risks.
- Provide weekly programme updates and site status reports.
- Produce Monthly Progress Meeting reports for client meetings.
- Chair Internal Progress Meetings.
- Create short-term programmes.
- Manage critical path and mitigate delays to maintain programme dates.
- Lead Health & Safety management and compliance on-site.
- Collaborate with subcontractors and suppliers to achieve project goals.
- Collect data from active sites to report delays and inefficiencies, driving continuous improvement.
- Work with the Quality Assurance Manager to ensure compliance with quality standards (BOPAS, ISO9001, ISO14001).
- Design site setup and project strategy, addressing constraints, risks, and waste minimisation.
- Participate in internal audits for Health & Safety, SOP adherence, and subcontractor performance.
- Contribute to the development of the Standard Operating Processes Manual and participate in audits.
- Maintain clear communication with all departments for efficient information exchange.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement internally and externally, both on-site and in the factory.
- Ensure confidentiality of design, information transfer, and construction processes outside the company.
Key skills and experience required:
- Previously experience in a Site Manager Role
- Experience in running projects ranging from £1m - £15m.
- HNC or Similar in a Construction-related qualification.
- Valid SMSTS qualification
- CSCS Black Card or Similar
- Valid First Aid certificate
Desirable Qualifications/Experience:
- Good understanding of Microsoft Office Package
- Experience with Asta PowerProject
