As a Care Assistant, you will provide compassionate care and support to individuals who require assistance with daily living activities. Your responsibilities include helping residents with personal care, promoting their well-being, supporting during mealtimes, and ensuring their comfort and safety.
Key Responsibilities- Personal Care: Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and eating while respecting dignity and preferences.
- Mobility Support: Provide assistance with transferring, walking, and use of mobility aids to ensure safety and independence.
- Meal Service: Serve nutritious meals and snacks, adhering to dietary restrictions and preferences.
- Companionship: Engage in meaningful conversations, provide emotional support, and encourage social interaction.
- Housekeeping: Perform light housekeeping tasks – cleaning, laundry, tidying, bed-making and linen changes.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate care records, monitoring changes in residents’ conditions.
- Safety: Identify and mitigate potential hazards and follow safety protocols.
- Communication: Update healthcare professionals, families, and team leaders on residents’ well-being; report any changes or concerns to Line Manager.
