Bousfield Primary School isseeking to appoint an experienced, enthusiastic and highly skilled Higher LevelTeaching Assistant (Inclusion and SEND) to join our dedicated team.
This is an exciting opportunityfor a talented practitioner to play a key role in supporting pupils withspecial educational needs and disabilities whilst contributing to the continueddevelopment of inclusive practice across the school.
Working closely with the SENCO,teachers and support staff, you will support pupils within the classroom,deliver targeted interventions, provide occasional class cover and helpimplement projects and initiatives designed to improve outcomes for childrenwith SEND.
The successful candidate will:
- Hold HLTA status or haveequivalent experience.
- Have substantial experiencesupporting pupils with SEND in a primary school.
- Be committed to inclusivepractice and high expectations for all learners.
- Have excellent communicationand organisational skills.
- Work effectively with teachers,support staff, families and external agencies.
- Be proactive, flexible andsolution-focused.
The role will include:
- Supporting pupils with SEND inclass and through targeted interventions.
- Working alongside LearningSupport Assistants to ensure effective provision.
- Delivering planned interventionprogrammes.
- Providing occasionalwhole-class cover.
- Supporting the SENCO with theimplementation of SEND initiatives and projects.
- Monitoring and recording pupilprogress.
- Contributing to the developmentof inclusive practice across the school.
