Help shape services through resident influence and engagement
At Bournville Village Trust, we believe residents should have a genuine voice in the services they receive and the communities they live in.
We’re looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Resident Engagement Coordinator to lead the delivery of our Resident Involvement Strategy, creating meaningful opportunities for residents to influence decision‑making, shape services, provide constructive challenge and hold us to account.
This is a highly people-focused role. You’ll build trusted relationships with residents, colleagues and community partners, helping to ensure resident voices are heard and that customer feedback drives continuous improvement across the organisation.
Job Profile
As Resident Engagement Coordinator, you will lead the delivery of BVT’s Resident Involvement Strategy, helping to ensure residents have meaningful opportunities to influence decision‑making, shape services, provide constructive challenge, support continuous improvement and hold BVT to account.
Working across the organisation, you will build positive and trusted relationships with residents, colleagues and community partners to increase participation in resident engagement, scrutiny and governance activities. You will champion resident influence and support colleagues to use resident feedback, insight and challenge to improve services and deliver positive outcomes.
You will develop and coordinate a range of engagement opportunities, recruit and support involved residents, facilitate resident scrutiny activities and ensure residents can see the impact of their involvement. Through effective engagement and collaboration, you will help embed a culture where resident feedback and lived experience inform service delivery and organisational decision‑making.
The role provides an opportunity to make a tangible difference to both residents and colleagues by strengthening resident influence, supporting service improvement and helping BVT continue to place residents at the heart of what we do.
Candidate Profile

As the lead for this area, you’ll be comfortable taking ownership of your work, managing priorities and working proactively and collaboratively to deliver outcomes.
You will be a skilled communicator who can quickly establish trust and credibility with customers, colleagues and stakeholders. You’ll enjoy encouraging participation, facilitating discussions and supporting people to share their views and experiences in a meaningful way.
Alongside strong relationship‑building skills, you’ll be able to use feedback, insight and challenge to influence service improvement and support positive change. You’ll be confident working collaboratively across teams, balancing competing priorities and maintaining a strong focus on delivering an excellent customer experience.
