Although there is no typical day for a Learning Support Assistant (LSA), the role will usually involve working within a classroom and on a 1:1 basis to support pupils with special educational needs (SEND), adapting activities, encouraging positive behaviour and helping to maintain a calm learning environment.

  • Location: Weston-super-Mare
  • Hours: 13 per week, term-time only
  • Contract: Fixed term until 31 August 2026
  • Pay: E3 (unqualified) £7,860.71 - £7,985.46 or E4 (Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualified) £8,112.36 - £8,646.69 per annum
  • Start Date: 5 January 2026
  • Interview: 9 December 2025

This role is working across all year groups in both a 1:1 and small group work.
