What You’ll Be Doing:
- Follow all Health, Safety & Security policies and standards at all times.
- Carry out maintenance work on network assets such as reservoirs, valves, fittings, and pumping stations.
- Plan and carry out routine and emergency reservoir cleaning.
- Use inspection tools such as CCTV and ROV equipment (training provided).
- Work in line with QMS procedures and keep records up to date.
- Protect the environment during all maintenance activities.
- Help manage supply interruptions, including out-of-hours work when needed.
- Support wider water distribution work such as trunk main walking, mains flushing, and digging for leaks or asset access.
- Service and replace valves and fittings.
- Prevent contamination during all tasks and know what to do if an incident happens.
- Take part in call-out and standby rotas.
- Deal politely and professionally with customers, colleagues, and the public.
- Work at height and in confined spaces (full training and equipment provided).
- Drive company vehicles and tow trailers when needed (training provided).
A full, valid driving licence is required.
What We’re Looking For:
- A basic standard of education, including GCSE Grade C or above (or equivalent) in English and Maths - or the ability to demonstrate good written and numerical skills.
- EUSR Water Hygiene Certificate (or willingness to gain it with our support).
- Ability to complete work safely, on time, and to required standards.
- A flexible, can-do approach and willingness to respond to incidents.
- Experience in manual, outdoor, or practical work (utilities, construction, maintenance, engineering, labouring, or similar is an advantage).
- Basic building or maintenance skills.
- A customer-focused attitude and ability to work well in a team.
- Willingness to use digital tools and systems (training provided).
- Experience in utilities, pipeline construction, or street works is an advantage but not essential.
- You must live within 45 minutes of our operational area of supply.
- You must have a full driving licence and be willing and able to tow large trailers as required.
