About the role
As an integral part of the Student Services team, the Student Money Adviser will be responsible for providing a professional, accurate, effective and efficient student money advice service to all students, student representatives and staff on all areas of student funding. You will be supporting students in accessing the various funding streams that may be available to support their studies, as well as assessing applications for financial support.
Part of the role will be to educate students on financial awareness, which includes outreach and creating content to deliver to students.
Our ideal candidate will have experience of working in a public facing role, providing advice and guidance in a regulated environment. With excellent interpersonal and numeracy skills, knowledge of student finance would be an advantage but not essential. Student Services work as a team and have to deal with some complex and challenging circumstances, so the ability to be flexible in approach and to remain calm under pressure are important attributes.
