We are seeking an enthusiastic, customer-focused and commercially minded Gym & Duty Manager to lead the day-to-day operation of our fitness facilities and support the continued growth of our health and fitness offering.
This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual with experience in the leisure, fitness or sport sector who enjoys leading teams, delivering exceptional customer experiences and creating safe, welcoming and engaging environments.
As Gym & Duty Manager, you will be responsible for the operational delivery of SportBU's gym, studios and wider fitness provision. Working on a shift rota that includes early mornings, evenings and weekends, you will play a key role in ensuring our facilities are safe, compliant, customer-focused and commercially successful.
You will act as Duty Manager during designated shifts, taking responsibility for the smooth running of facilities, staff supervision and service delivery while supporting the implementation of SportBU's strategic objectives.
The role offers a varied and rewarding mix of operational management, team leadership, customer engagement, fitness programming and commercial development.

Chapel Gate forms a part of SportBU's facilities and welcomes over 5,000 people to play sport every week for TeamBU and a range of community sport clubs. We are the proud home of artificial and natural turf pitches for football, rugby, hockey, cricket, American Football and more.
