The newly established School of Law and Society is looking to appoint a Lecturer (Academic) in Law (Fixed term, Maternity cover up to 12 months) to its teaching team to strengthen the delivery of its suite of law programmes at both undergraduate and postgraduate level.

Successful applicants will play a large role in delivering teaching across our LLB Law, LLB Legal Practice SQE and LLM Legal Practice SQE programmes. We particularly invite applicants who would be able to contribute to the leadership and teaching of at least one of the following subject areas: human rights law, contract law, tort law, land law or employment law.

The candidate should also undertake research that aligns with BU’s 2035 strategy. We also expect successful candidates to assist with embedding the university within the professional legal community through continued engagement with our partner solicitor firms, chambers, public bodies, NGOs and alumni.

The School of Law and Society has a flourishing research, innovation and knowledge exchange culture in law centred around the Centre for Intellectual Property Policy.
