Are you looking for an exciting opportunity to further develop your career in HE libraries? Are you a talented and creative librarian, keen to utilise your excellent people skills to engage, manage relationships and work collaboratively with faculty and professional services colleagues? We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and self‑motivated Faculty Librarian to lead our support for one of BU's three faculties.
This rewarding and varied role develops library resources and services that enhance learning and teaching, research and professional practice. The role also contributes to delivery of other library objectives and institutional priorities, including our exciting new BU2035 strategy. Your adaptability, organisation and proactivity will be core to the role, enabling you to effectively prioritise your work and meet deadlines.
Your customer focus, digital confidence, commitment to learning and innovation, and knowledge of higher education will help you to develop excellent resources, and support research within the faculty. You will lead colleagues in delivering effective information literacy teaching for your faculty. You will also contribute to the Academic Skills Hub workshop programme and other service requirements.
This post presents an exciting opportunity for a naturally curious and ambitious individual to join BU's innovative Academic Liaison Team within Library and Learning Services. This integrated team is responsible for the delivery of high‑quality engagement and support for staff and students. A positive outlook and collegiate approach are essential.
