We are offering an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and professional individual to join the Student Records and Reporting team. You will support the provision of a high quality and responsive service, ensuring that the student record system effectively supports the University’s large and diverse community throughout the academic lifecycle from application to graduation.

You will play a pivotal role in maintaining the operational management and technical configuration of the student record. Providing specialist advice, guidance and support to all stakeholders, you will drive continuous improvement of both student records processes and data. You will be responsible for facilitating the academic year rollover of technical student record developments, managing a range of system administration tasks such as coordinating user access, data imports, testing software upgrades and contributing to the management of large and complex datasets.

You will ideally have experience of providing advanced system support in an administrative and/or advisory role as well as thriving in a team environment where flexibility and adaptability are essential. You will be committed to working collaboratively with colleagues across the University, learning and applying knowledge of the system to support business requirements.

The successful candidate will possess strong analytical skills, excellent attention to detail and a logical and systematic approach to problem solving. You will have excellent team working and communication skills and be experienced at organising and planning a diverse workload.

You will receive 30 days annual leave plus seasonal closure (between Christmas and New Year), free travel between two vibrant campuses, hybrid working, and enjoy corporate discounts from numerous local businesses and services.

This position does not meet the eligibility requirements for sponsorship under the Skilled Worker Route within the UK Visa and Immigration service’s Points Based System. Therefore, BU will not be able to sponsor individuals who require permission to work to carry out this position.

About the department: The Student Records and Reporting Team is part of the Academic Registry Department within Academic Services. Academic Services creates an enabling academic environment, which shares expertise, builds capabilities and inspires stakeholders through sector leading, user centred processes and outstanding service delivery.
