Are you highly organised and people-focused? Do you enjoy working in a fast‑paced education environment? We are looking for a proactive and enthusiastic Programme Officer (CPD) to join our Academic Services team on a 12‑month fixed‑term, part‑time basis.
This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in supporting the delivery of our continuing professional development (CPD) courses, helping to ensure a high‑quality experience for students, employers and academic colleagues.
About the role
As a Programme Officer, you will provide day‑to‑day operational and administrative support across a portfolio of courses mostly delivered to NHS staff continuing their professional development. You will respond to a wide range of student, employer and staff queries, manage course‑related processes in line with university regulations, and work closely with colleagues across Academic Services and the wider University.
You will need to be confident handling sensitive information, prioritising competing demands, and communicating professionally and empathetically with a diverse range of stakeholders.
This role is part‑time (0.5 FTE, 18.5 hours per week) and offered on a fixed‑term basis for 12 months, with some flexibility required to support peak activity periods.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing course administration and assessment support
- Responding to student queries and maintaining accurate student records across multiple systems
- Administering key student processes and liaising with academic staff, professional services teams, employers and partners
- Contributing to service improvement by identifying more effective ways of working
- Supporting University‑wide events if required
