Responsibilities

  • Assist the Academic Skills Hub Manager in supporting peer-based initiatives at Bournemouth University (BU).
  • Contribute to the practical administration and promotion of the PAL scheme across BU faculties.
  • Support scheme evaluation and research into the impact of the PAL experience.
  • Work as part of the Central PAL Team to coordinate the PAL scheme and support PAL Leaders and participants in both face-to-face and virtual environments.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Undergraduate student, ideally with prior experience as a PAL Leader.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work on your own initiative as well as in a team; keen to develop research, support and event organisation skills.
  • Comfortable working in both face-to-face and virtual environments.

Position Details

  • Fixed-term position for 13 months.
  • Part-time for 29.6 hours per week (0.8 FTE).
  • This position does not meet the eligibility requirements for sponsorship under the Skilled Worker Route within the UK Visa and Immigration service’s Points Based System.
  • BU will not sponsor individuals who require permission to work for this position.
  • Open to undergraduate students currently studying at Bournemouth University.
