This is an exciting opportunity to shape and lead a newly formed Assessment and Awards team, delivering a high-quality, student-focused service. You will provide strategic and operational leadership across the full assessment lifecycle, ensuring efficient, compliant processes aligned with university regulations and external requirements, working closely with academic and professional services colleagues across the university. The role includes the development and continuous improvement of assessment and awards processes, data management and reporting, and providing expert guidance on complex issues. You will lead and develop a high‑performing team, oversee assessment activity, the timely conferment of awards, and manage key activities such as graduation ceremonies. As part of the Academic Services Leadership Team, you will contribute to policy development, institutional projects and the strategic development of the service.

You will be an experienced higher education professional with strong expertise in assessment and academic administration, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to service excellence and continuous improvement. Highly organised and detail-focused, you will be confident managing competing priorities, building strong stakeholder relationships, and influencing change. You will have strong leadership and staff development capabilities and experience of leading a team.

Academic Services creates an enabling academic environment, which shares expertise, builds capabilities and inspires stakeholders through sector leading, user centred processes and outstanding service delivery.
