Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra is seeking applications from suitably qualified candidates for the above position. Based in Poole, Dorset, BSO perform extensively across the south and south‑west of England, nationally and internationally, and also deliver an extensive range of education and community work, through its award‑winning Participate department. The Orchestra’s Chief Conductor is Mark Wigglesworth; Leader Amyn Merchant.
Single round, unaccompanied auditions will be held in summer/autumn 2026. If you are unable to travel to Poole, please contact applications@bsorchestra.co.uk, and we can discuss alternative arrangements.
Requirements:
- 1st movement of a Mozart Violin Concerto (no. 4 or 5) (without cadenza)
- 1st movement of a major concerto, Beethoven or later (without cadenza)
