Safety & Compliance Advisor

Site based at Bournemouth Pavilion with travel to other BH Live sites, across the South Coast.

Salary: £31,423 per annum

Hours: 37 hours per week

The role: BH Live is recruiting for a Safety & Compliance Advisor to join our team. You will work across all areas of our business, raising awareness of Health and Safety and maintaining a proactive safety and compliant culture. You will coordinate BH Live's Health and Safety Policy and provide guidance on statutory and best practice.

You will:

• Act as the hands-on operational and tactical support for health, safety, and compliance across BH Live.
• Work under the guidance of the Health and Safety Manager, focusing on day-to-day monitoring, venue auditing, training support, digital system administration, and assisting onsite teams to maintain a safe and legally compliant environment.
• Support the daily operational delivery of BH Live’s health, safety, and compliance policies and procedures across all venues, acting as an approachable first point of contact (Tier 1) for Employees and Site Duty Management Teams.
• Act as the primary administrator for OpsPal and other digital safety management platforms.
• Monitor the system to ensure operational teams are completing scheduled routine compliance tasks, troubleshooting issues, and flagging outstanding tasks to the H&S Manager.
• Conduct routine monitoring of the working environment across all BH Live workplaces, assisting venue teams to ensure compliance with mandatory statutory legislation and approved codes of practice.

To be successful you will need:

• An IOSH Managing Safety Qualification or Equivalent
• Relevant experience of delivering health and safety strategies, policies and practices across multisite operation.
• A working knowledge of current Health & Safety legislation, regulation and ACOPs
• A UK driving licence and ability to travel between sites across South Coast
• The ability to engage with a range of stakeholders
• Sound verbal, written and presentation skills
