The role: BH Live is recruiting for an IT Analyst/Engineer to join our IT team based at our Head Office @ Bournemouth International Centre. Working as part of a team, the role will require on‑site, central and remote delivery of IT support. You will also support the Head of IT with the delivery of operational and strategic IT services across the business, with a strong focus on Microsoft 365, identity management and modern workplace technologies. As part of the escalation chain, you will act in a 2nd / 3rd line support capacity, providing a first‑class customer service to our stakeholders. You will be responsible for problem solving complex tickets and requests, unable to be resolved at tier 1.
You will:
- Provide day‑to‑day line management to the IT Support Technician.
- Oversee the triage process ensuring correct categorisation, prioritisation, and assignment the team by delegating or allocating.
- Monitor workload distribution to the team to maintain efficiency and ensure SLA compliance.
- Work with the Head of IT to develop the overall use and management of the ticket system.
- Respond to urgent issues that may arise, finding workarounds and escalating incidents or requests to the Head of IT where required.
- Overcome technical issues, diagnosing and resolving and involving external service providers where necessary.
To be successful you will need:
- 2nd and 3rd tier IT support experience.
- Strong understanding of Microsoft 365 architecture, licensing and service interdependencies.
- Configuration and support of Microsoft Windows Server and Microsoft Windows 11 operating systems knowledge.
- Experience managing Active Directory and Entra ID (Azure AD), including hybrid identity, directory synchronisation, conditional access and policy management.
- Experience supporting network switching, wireless access points, and firewalls.
- A thorough understanding of the day‑to‑day administration and optimisation of Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Teams and Teams Telephony.
- The ability to travel to sites (driving license, with access to company pool car).
- Great problem solving skills coupled with excellent communication and people skills.
