BH Live is recruiting for a 1st Line IT Support Technician to join our IT team based at our Head Office @ Bournemouth International Centre, providing a first-class customer service and support to internal customers with technical issues, diagnosing problems, installing upgrades, software and hardware. Assisting with the implementation and maintenance of BH Live infrastructure. This role is based at Bournemouth International Centre with some travel to sites.
You will act as the primary point of contact logging and recording incidents and requests, triaging, diagnosing and resolving as a first-time fix or escalating to team members/3rd party providers. Primarily providing 1st and some 2nd line support to a PC based environment, on-site and remotely, including troubleshooting of Windows OS installation/configuration, line of business application support, installation and upgrades, network printers, shares and permissions. Testing and fixing faulty equipment where appropriate. Working as part of a team to deliver required outputs and resolve issues. Server administration and maintenance, including Active Directory administration, account creation and management, application support and patching. Purchase, set up and installation of new hardware. Provide line of business applications, support and guidance, including best practices. Network administration and maintenance, supporting routers, switches, wireless networks, telephony. Involvement in project work. Building good relationships with internal customers and suppliers. Mobile device setup and management. This role will require some travel to BH Live sites across Bournemouth, Portsmouth, Southampton and London. Occasionally providing out-of-hours IT support.
To be successful you will need:
- IT Support experience
- Attention to detail
- Excellent Interpersonal and customer care skills and phone manner
- Knowledge of Microsoft 365 products
- Ability to travel
- Configuration and support of Microsoft Windows Server operating systems
- Experience of configuration and support of PCs running Microsoft Windows 11
- Previous experience of Active Directory and Group Policy support and maintenance
- Understanding of cloud technologies and concepts
- Experience of Microsoft Endpoint Manager
- Experience of supporting Android, Apple MacOS and iOS devices
- Network configuration and troubleshooting: WAN, LAN and WLAN
- Experience of a multi-site environment
