South West based charitable housing association BCHA was founded over 50 years ago with a continuing mission to meet housing need and end homelessness. We aim to achieve this through the building and provision of affordable and secure homes, and by supporting individuals to take control and lead independent, fulfilled lives. This role is working with BCHA Learn; we are passionate about supporting people to make positive changes and turn their lives around - this may be through learning new skills, trying new opportunities and celebrating successes. Through BCHA Learn's accredited courses, customers are given the tools, skills, and knowledge to make lasting positive changes to enhance their lives.

We are looking for new tutors to support delivery of our wellbeing, employability, IT, horticulture, budgeting, personal development and independent living courses. These courses are both accredited and non-accredited from entry level up to Level 2 and as an accredited City & Guilds and National Open College Network centre. We welcome applications from suitably qualified and experienced, dynamic and inspiring Tutors.

You will plan and deliver learning to motivate and challenge each learner, using a variety of activities and resources relevant to the programme and individual learner needs.

BCHA Learn will pay you a fee of (inclusive of VAT if applicable):

  • £35 per hour for face to face delivery, which includes prep, delivery and marking/assessment where applicable
  • £25 per hour for virtual delivery
  • £9.45 per hour for administrative duties (where agreed)
  • 0.45p per mile for travel when travelling further than 5 miles from home address
