Wool CE Primary School & Pre‑school is located in the quiet, picturesque village of Wool in South Dorset, with excellent transport links to Weymouth, Dorchester, Poole and Bournemouth by rail and road. The school is part of the Coastal Learning Partnership, a collaborative trust of twenty schools.
We are seeking an experienced Classroom Teacher to join our warm and welcoming school community, starting September 2026. The successful candidate will teach a joint cohort of Year 3 and 4 pupils, working within a supportive environment that encourages professional development, collaborative teaching and an empowering appraisal process aligned with individual career objectives.
Responsibilities- Teach a joint cohort of Year 3 and 4 pupils.
- Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans that meet curriculum standards.
- Collaborate with colleagues across subjects and year groups to share best practice.
- Monitor pupil progress and adapt teaching to meet diverse learning needs.
- Participate in the school’s appraisal process, setting and reviewing personal career goals.
- Teacher training and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Relevant experience teaching Year 3 and Year 4 (or similar primary age range).
- Evidence of a commitment to safeguarding and child protection, including willingness to undergo the required pre‑employment checks.
- Competitive salary on the Teacher Scale M3 – M6, Upper 1‑3 (£37,101 – £51,048).
- Full‑time contract: 32.43 hours per week.
