Old Town Infant School & Nursery is a small but mighty infant school in the heart of Poole town centre. The school is part of Coastal Learning Partnership Multi Academy Trust, a collaborative network of twenty schools.
We are looking for a Midday Assistant to join our lunchtime team. The role involves supervising pupils during the lunch break and maintaining a clean, hygienic eating area. The role may also include serving meals and dishwashing.
Employment details
- Hours: 8.75 hours per week, Mon-Fri 11:30am to 1:15pm
- Term time plus 3 training days (38.6 working weeks).
- Grade C, SCP 3-4 (£12.85 - £13.05 per hour). Actual salary: £4,340 - £4,409 per annum pro rata.
- Permanent starting 1st September 2026.
Responsibilities
- Supervise pupils during the lunch break.
- Maintain a clean, hygienic area in which to eat food.
- Assist with serving meals and dishwashing as required.
Requirements and safeguarding
- Ideal candidates should have some experience working with children and a willingness to undertake training.
- To comply with statutory safer recruitment practices, applications require a full employment and education history, details of two referees, and explanations for any gaps in employment. CVs will not be accepted from external candidates.
