Position Overview
Midday Supervisory Assistant – Ad Astra Infant School (Poole, Dorset)
Hours: 5.41 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 11:55am – 1:00pm (term time only).
Grade: C (Point 3–4). Salary: £24,796–£25,185 pro‑rata.
Start date: September 2026.
Responsibilities
- Organise and develop safe, purposeful and creative play during the lunchtime break to enrich pupils’ learning and support positive behaviour.
- Supervise children in the school hall while they eat their lunch and assist with preparation and clean‑up of the hall at lunchtimes.
Qualifications & Skills
- Previous experience in a similar role is an advantage.
- First Aid qualification is an advantage but not essential.
- Enthusiastic, team‑orientated, energetic, resilient and able to go above and beyond.
