Role Summary
As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) with a focus on SEN, you will play a key part in shaping exceptional support for pupils with special educational needs. Working closely with the SENCo, you will help drive the strategic development and delivery of our SEN provision, ensuring every child receives the personalised support they need to thrive. You will also coordinate day‑to‑day interventions and collaborate with staff—including the designated safeguarding lead—to create a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment where all learners can succeed.
Responsibilities
- Shape and deliver SEN provision in partnership with the SENCo.
- Coordinate and implement tailored interventions for pupils with SEN or disabilities.
- Collaborate with teachers, safeguarding lead, and other staff to support inclusive learning.
- Advocate for pupils' inclusion and access to the curriculum.
- Provide administrative support, building and maintaining good relationships.
- Support safe, inclusive and nurturing classroom environments.
- Participate in staff training and professional development.
Qualifications
