About the Role
We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, organised and hardworking After School Club Assistant to join a friendly after‑school club team, supporting children aged 4–11 across the primary school age range.
Responsibilities
- Assist the after‑school club team with day‑to‑day operation of the After School Club service
- Prepare rooms and resources and ensure play equipment, materials and refreshments are set up at the beginning of the sessions and cleared away safely at the end of the session
- Assist the Line Manager with maintaining accurate attendance records
- Ensure children use play equipment correctly and contribute to the continuous development of the club
- Provide a high standard of care in a safe, caring environment
Qualifications and Experience
- Experience working with 4–11 year olds and their families
- Suitable childcare qualification
- Understanding and commitment to good quality childcare
- Cheerful, flexible and approachable personality
- Energy and enthusiasm, and the ability to use own initiative
- Ability to work well in a team
- Excellent communication and administration skills

Salary
£24,796 – £25,185 pro‑rata, Grade C (scale point 3–4)
Benefits
Permanent, term‑time only, 7.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 3.00pm – 4.30pm. Salary pro‑rata £4,173.83 – £4,239.30 per annum.
