We have a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Residential Support Worker to join our supportive and dedicated team at April Court. We are seeking a strong, experienced individual with drive and commitment who is seeking an exciting new challenge. The ideal candidate will have had a minimum of two years of experience in care and have proven leadership skills, knowledge and training to ensure that the shift runs effectively meeting the needs of our residents, completing and overseeing all aspects of individuals' personal care, administration of medication, completion of handovers and managing the shifts.

April Court is a Residential Care Home for Adults with Learning Disabilities. The friendly and committed team at April Court are passionate about ensuring our residents are supported to maintain their individuality. As a Senior Residential Support Worker you will support our residents to lead fulfilling lives through a person-centred approach, working to ensure the service and activities are varied and meet residents’ needs.

What you’ll do:

  • Provide care and support that promotes client choice and independence.
  • Coordinate and lead the support staff and support with personal care as required.
  • Ensure that individual care plans are developed, implemented and monitored.
  • Support residents to take their prescribed medication.
  • Work within the Gold Standards Framework to ensure quality care.

What you need:

  • NVQ/QCF Level 3 Certificate or be prepared to work towards a qualification.
  • Knowledge and awareness of Community Care and Safeguarding legislation.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Good knowledge of CQC standards.
  • Competent IT skills with the ability to maintain accurate records.
  • An understanding of health and safety requirements.
  • A full current UK driving licence with the use of a car and be willing to drive the home’s vehicles.

Part-time – 14 hours per week.
