The team is part of the Strategic Housing Options Team and is responsible for supporting staff and customers to maintain homes and prevent homelessness.
Role Overview
You will supervise a team of housing practitioners delivering housing advice and homelessness support. You will help motivate and guide the team to deliver person-centred support for customers who are homeless or threatened with homelessness, assist in the delivery and development of homelessness services within BCP, communicate effectively with customers, represent Housing Services at case conferences and multi-agency meetings, develop and maintain partnerships with relevant agencies, and ensure compliance with the Homelessness Reduction Act.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise a team of housing practitioners delivering housing advice and homelessness support.
- Help to motivate and guide teams to deliver person-centred support for customers that are homeless or threatened with homelessness.
- Assist in the delivery of and development of homelessness services within BCP.
- Communicate effectively with customers, face to face and over the phone to maximise engagement and positive housing and support outcomes.
- Work with a varied workload, and be able to juggle ever-changing priorities.
- Represent Housing Services at case conferences and multi-agency meetings.
- Develop and maintain partnerships with relevant agencies to ensure holistic support for customers to access and maintain accommodation.
- Understand the Homelessness Reduction Act and guide teams to proactively work to prevent homelessness.
Qualifications & Requirements
