Recruitment & Onboarding Adviser

We’re looking for a Recruitment & Onboarding Adviser to play a vital role in attracting, appointing and welcoming new colleagues into the college. From first advert to first day (and beyond), you’ll ensure every step of the journey is smooth, inclusive and well-organised.
What you’ll be doing
As part of our People Services team, you’ll be a trusted partner to hiring managers and a friendly, knowledgeable point of contact for candidates. Your role will include:
- Managing end-to-end recruitment activity across a varied portfolio of roles
- Advertising vacancies and advising managers on effective attraction strategies
- Supporting shortlisting, interviews and offer management
- Delivering a seamless pre-employment checking process
- Coordinating and delivering an engaging onboarding experience
- Ensuring all recruitment activity is compliant, accurate and well-documented
- Providing advice and guidance on recruitment best practice and policy
- Using HR systems to maintain high-quality data and produce insights
What we’re looking for
- You’ll bring energy, organisation and a real passion for people. Ideally, you’ll have:
- Proven experience in recruitment, onboarding or an HR / People Services role
- Strong customer service skills and confidence working with stakeholders at all levels
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to juggle multiple priorities
- A proactive, solutions-focused mindset
- Confidence using HR or applicant tracking systems
- A commitment to equality, diversity and inclusive recruitment practices
- CIPD qualification (or working towards one) would be great, but it’s not essential.
