Here at Bournemouth & Poole College, we are looking to recruit a Student Enrichment Coach on a full time, term time only, permanent contract. In return, you will receive a competitive salary of £27,225 per annum, pro rata for TTO (£26,202.42 per annum).

The Student Enrichment Coach Role: Student Inclusion and Support is a dedicated Directorate within People and Student Experience to help support all aspects of a student's journey while they are studying at The Bournemouth and Poole College. The Student Inclusion and Support Directorate comprises of 3 strands of support: Student Support, Personal Development and Student Inclusion.

Key Responsibilities of the Student Enrichment Coach:

  • To further develop and implement college-based enrichment programmes across all BPC campuses, including clubs, activities on and off campus as well as trips.
  • To work with Curriculum to ensure that barriers to enrichment are overcome.
  • To support cross college events, led by the Student Engagement and Enrichment Team.
  • To further implement and develop a robust, engaging and fit for purpose enrichment offer to our students through the established BPCXtra enrichment programme and with the Student Engagement and Enrichment Lead, develop an enrichment strategy and action plan that will be monitored throughout the year.
  • To work with curriculums to ensure that curriculum enrichment is planned, which can include sourcing funding, attending trips, booking guest speakers.
  • To ensure engagement with the Cross College BPCXtra programme is high across all departments of the college, ensuring that students participate and all associated recording is of high standards.
  • To work with students, curriculums and external organisations to identify, train, support students to become leaders in order to provide a rich variety of student-led activities.
  • To provide support to all areas of the college regarding BPCXtra and enrichment activities.

About You:

  • Youth work qualification at Level 3 or above or equivalent.
  • Level 2 (or equivalent) English and Maths.
  • Experience of working within or organising clubs or groups.
  • Good understanding of different types of enrichment and how to adapt these to different student groups.
  • Highly developed communication skills both on an individual basis and in group settings.
