Here at Bournemouth & Poole College, we have a position available for a Lecturer in Law on a part time, permanent contract. In return, you will receive a competitive salary of £30,000 to £40,374 pro-rota. Inspire future legal professionals.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Lecturer in Law to join our dynamic Science, Health & Humanities Directorate. As a Lecturer in Law, you will:

  • Deliver high-quality, engaging and inclusive teaching across a range of delivery methods
  • Develop learning materials aligned with awarding-body requirements
  • Provide academic and pastoral support as a Personal Tutor
  • Offer constructive, meaningful feedback that helps students succeed
  • Support students with work-related activities and enrichment opportunities
  • Contribute to curriculum design, development and continuous quality improvement
  • Participate in open evenings, school liaison, and wider college events

About You

We are looking for someone who is:

  • Qualified to degree level (or higher) in Law or a related subject
  • Experienced in teaching or working in the UK legal and/or criminal justice system
  • Skilled at communicating with diverse groups of learners
  • Creative, adaptable and passionate about developing young people
  • Digitally confident, with experience using VLEs and Microsoft Office
  • Committed to safeguarding, inclusivity and delivering high-quality learning
  • A teaching qualification (Level 5 or higher) is desirable, but we welcome applicants willing to work towards it
