Here at Bournemouth & Poole College, we are looking to recruit a Cover Supervisor on a full time, term time, fixed-term contract until July 2027. In return, you will receive a competitive salary of £28,128 - £29,057 FTE. (£18,855 - £19,478 pro rata)

The Cover Supervisor Role: As the Cover Supervisor, you will ensure continuity of learning by supervising students during pre-set English and Math sessions in the absence of the teacher. The role involves maintaining a positive and productive classroom environment, supporting students with their tasks, and promoting engagement and progress.
Key Responsibilities of the Cover Supervisor:
- Supervise students during scheduled English and Maths lessons when the teacher is absent.
- Explain pre-prepared tasks clearly and respond to student queries.
- Manage classroom behaviour effectively, ensuring a safe and constructive learning environment.
- Record and report attendance in line with College procedures.
- Liaise with curriculum teams to understand lesson plans and resources.
- Support students in using digital tools and learning technologies.
- Provide pastoral support and small group interventions where required.
- Administer and invigilate exams when necessary.
About You:
- Level 3 qualification as a minimum
- Level 2 English and Maths (or equivalent)
- Experience working in education (preferably FE)
- Math or English
- Competent in Microsoft Office applications
- Strong communication skills, including written and verbal
