Due to continued growth, Bournemouth & Poole College is expanding its team and we're looking for inspiring Lecturers in Mathematics to help our students succeed. You'll play a key role in building learners' confidence and supporting them to achieve essential qualifications that open doors to further education, apprenticeships and careers. About the role
This is an exciting opportunity to deliver high-quality, engaging teaching across GCSE and Functional Skills Mathematics. You'll create inclusive and motivating learning experiences that help students develop their skills, confidence and resilience, while supporting their progression into further study or employment.
What you'll be doing:
- Delivering engaging, inclusive teaching that motivates and inspires learners
- Planning and assessing learning, providing high-quality and constructive feedback
- Supporting students to develop confidence, independence and problem-solving skills
- Tracking progress and implementing timely interventions to support achievement
- Contributing to curriculum development and continuous improvement
- Supporting student recruitment, enrichment and progression activities
- Creating a positive, inclusive and high-expectation learning environment
About you
You're a committed and enthusiastic educator who is passionate about student success and will bring:
- A degree in Mathematics or a related subject
- A teaching qualification (or willingness to work towards one)
- Experience teaching Mathematics (GCSE and/or Functional Skills desirable)
- The ability to inspire, motivate and engage learners of all abilities
- Strong organisational and classroom management skills
- Confidence using digital tools and technology to enhance learning
- A commitment to inclusive practice, safeguarding and student wellbeing
