We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Inclusion Lead to join our SEND Support team and play a key role in supporting students with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
As an Inclusion Lead, you will work directly with a diverse caseload of students, helping them successfully navigate their college journey and achieve their individual outcomes. Acting as a key worker and advocate, you will collaborate with teaching staff, support staff, parents, carers and external professionals to ensure students receive the right support at the right time. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is passionate about inclusion, student success and empowering young people to develop the skills and confidence needed for adulthood.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Managing and supporting a designated caseload of students with SEND and EHCPs throughout their time at College.
- Acting as a key worker and advocate, ensuring students receive personalised, effective and person-centred support.
- Working collaboratively with curriculum teams, Academic Support Assistants (ASAs), families and external professionals to promote positive outcomes.
- Encouraging students to build independence, confidence, organisation skills, employability skills and social engagement.
- Planning, preparing for, and leading key meetings including Annual Reviews and other multi-agency reviews.
- Monitoring student progress and adapting support strategies to ensure needs continue to be met.
- Line managing Academic Support Assistants within your curriculum area, supporting recruitment, induction, training and performance development.
- Delivering SEND and inclusion training to colleagues across the College.
- Completing learning walks, observations, and quality assurance activities to support the continuous improvement of SEND provision.
- Maintaining accurate records and ensuring administrative processes, compliance requirements and student documentation are completed to a high standard.
- Championing equality, diversity, inclusion, and safeguarding in all aspects of your work.
