The Role
To carry out fire-fighting and rescue duties and other extraneous duties associated with the safe operation of aircraft. To deal with domestic and special service incidents and to provide fire cover as required. To provide assistance on humanitarian grounds as required.
This is an all-encompassing role that is to ensure that the airport is compliant within EASA regulations and that the total airfield is safe for all parties that work airside.
This role not only has a focus on Bournemouth airport, but also will enable the post holder to take and lead training courses to external companies.
You
The successful candidate will undertake all relevant Airport Fire and Rescue operational qualifications. It would be advantageous that you have experience working in an airport RFFS and hold a CAA approved fire fighter qualification.
It is also desirable but not essential that you have a higher education qualification, experience working in a busy and highly regulated RFFS sector and evidence of ongoing development of RFFS skills (CAP 699 competency).
