We are seeking motivated and experienced Air Traffic Controllers to join our team, during an exciting period of growth at Bournemouth Airport. Bournemouth Airport is situated on the South Coast, close to the Jurassic Coast and the New Forest National Park. We are one of the fastest growing airports in the UK and have recently undergone extensive investment with a new cargo apron, terminal buildings and a new Radar.
The Unit operates within Class D Airspace and manages a diverse and significant mix of traffic, including commercial passenger services, military operations, cargo flights, general aviation, training aircraft, and executive jet movements. This is a challenging yet highly rewarding role, working alongside a dedicated and professional team in a dynamic operational environment.
Essential Requirements:
- Hold a UK CAA Issued ADI & ideally APS License Endorsements
- UK Class 3 medical certificate (or the ability to obtain)
- Minimum ATCO Level 5 English Language Proficiency
- Ability to work as part of a small team & maintain a flexible attitude in relation to shift hours & operational requirements
- Excellent written & verbal communication skills
- In line with Government legislation this position, applicants will be required to undergo a Disclosure and Barring Services Check (DBS/Criminal record check).
Desirable:
- APP Rating
- A current certificate of competence of Meteorological Observing (RMO or Full Met Observer)
- OJTI and or Assessor Rating
- Preferably 2 years minimum experience as a valid radar and tower controller
- Safety Management Systems Certificate
