Bournemouth Airport is looking for an experienced Airfield Operations Officer to join our team. With the launch of Jet2 operations in Summer 2025, this is an exciting time for the airport, and we need someone to help ensure everything runs smoothly as we grow.
What You’ll Do:
- Safety Management : You’ll be in charge of making sure the airport is as safe as possible. This includes managing risk assessments, investigating incidents, and improving safety measures.
- Airfield Inspections : You’ll carry out regular checks on runways, taxiways, and other areas to ensure they’re clear and in good condition.
- Work with Air Traffic Control (ATC) : You’ll coordinate with ATC to ensure smooth and safe aircraft movements, including handling any closures or maintenance work.
- Follow Regulations : You’ll help make sure the airport complies with all safety and regulatory rules.
- Audits : You’ll assist with audits to ensure we meet all necessary standards, both internal and external.
- Document Control : You’ll manage important documents and make sure everything is up to date and easy to find.
- Communication : You’ll be the main point of contact for anything related to airfield operations, keeping everyone from ground staff to regulatory bodies informed and up to date.
What We’re Looking For:
- At least 3 years of experience in aviation or airfield operations, especially with safety management or compliance.
- A clean driving license.
- Qualifications or experience in Safety Management Systems (SMS) or Airport Operations is a plus.
