Reporting to the Commercial Director, this is a great opportunity for an experienced Commercial Manager to join a leading specialist in our field, constructing Steel projects up to £20 million. The role will be based in our Poole Office.
You will be an experienced Commercial Manager and have proven ability in all aspects of the commercial process, including the management of the commercial performance of your construction projects. In particular, you will have had responsibility for securing valuation and payment entitlements from the client, and also all commercial and contractual dealings with the downstream supply chain. The management of cost/value performance of your projects and internal reporting is a pivotal requirement. A good understanding of JCT and NEC contracts is essential. Your background and experience will most likely have been with a main contractor or large sub-contractor.
The Commercial Manager works in close collaboration with others in the project delivery team, so teamwork, self-motivation and initiative are important attributes.
