The Role
This pivotal position combines hands‑on lettings negotiation with leadership responsibilities, offering an exciting opportunity to contribute directly to the success and growth of our lettings team. As Senior Lettings Negotiator / Assistant Manager, you will be instrumental in managing client relationships, mentoring junior colleagues, and ensuring our service standards remain outstanding.
Key Responsibilities
- Developing strong relationships with landlords, tenants and contractors
- Arranging & attending viewings
- Gaining tenant feedback and discussing with landlords
- Dealing with offer negotiations
- Lettings progression
- Registering tenants over the phone and loading onto property software
- Maintaining an active tenant database
- Business generation activities such as leaflet dropping & call outs
- Upselling additional services and management levels
- Working to targets, self‑managing KPIs and working on areas for improvement such as conversion rates
- Booking valuations
- Assisting with taking new properties onto the market, including property listings, photos and floorplans
- Training towards property valuations
Qualifications And Skills
- Proven experience in lettings negotiation, ideally within a busy estate agency environment.
- Strong leadership qualities with previous experience managing or mentoring a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and colleagues alike.
- Sound knowledge of residential lettings legislation and best practices in the UK.
