We are seeking a Speech and Language Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join our team at New Monument Primary School, part of Bourne Education Trust.

New Monument School, located in Woking's vibrant Maybury community, is a one-form entry primary school for children aged 2-11. We work closely with Broadmere School, sharing a senior leadership team to ensure cohesive and high-quality education. As part of the Bourne Education Trust (BET), we are a successful multi-academy trust across Surrey, Hampshire and London, providing robust support and a collaborative environment. Position Details:

  • Location: Woking, Surrey
  • Contract: Term time, 1 year FTC through funding from Surrey County Council
  • 32.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday 8.15am‑3.15pm)
  • Salary: PS6.2 £22,459 pro rata (FTE £30,647)
  • Start Date: 3rd September 2026

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver structured speech and language programmes and interventions
  • Work as part of a team, under the direction of the responsible Teacher, supporting teaching provision, development and implementation of learning for pupils
  • Facilitate the learning of individual pupils and groups, setting high expectations and promoting positive attitudes to learning

Essential Requirements:

  • Ability to demonstrate an awareness, understanding and commitment to the protection and safeguarding of children
  • GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent appropriate qualification)
  • Higher Level Teaching Assistant Qualification, or willingness to undertake qualification
