We are seeking an Exams Officer to join our team at Twickenham School, part of Bourne Education Trust.

As an Exams Officer, you will be responsible for the effective planning, administration, and delivery of all internal and external examinations, while also managing examination access arrangements and providing administrative support. The role ensures compliance with awarding body regulations, and JCQ requirements, supporting students to access assessments fairly and appropriately.

Position: Exams Officer

Contract: Part time, Permanent. 36 hrs per week, 40 weeks per year

Start Date: ASAP

Salary: NJC Scale 6 Point 16. Actual Β£31,384, FTE 34,486

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Plan, organise, and administer all internal and external examinations in accordance with awarding body and JCQ regulations.
  • Register candidates for examinations and ensure accurate entry of students and subjects.
  • Prepare examination timetables, seating plans, and rooming arrangements.
  • Organise and train invigilators, including briefing on regulations and procedures.

Essential Requirements include:

  • Ability to demonstrate an awareness, understanding and commitment to the protection and safeguarding of children
  • Experience of examination administration in a school or similar setting.
  • Knowledge of JCQ regulations and examination board procedures (or willingness to learn).
