We are seeking a Head of Maths to join our team at Epsom and Ewell High School, part of Bourne Education Trust.

  • Position: Head of Maths
  • Contract: Permanent, full time
  • Start Date: ASAP
  • Salary: Teachers’ Main - Upper Pay Scale (Fringe, £34,398 - £52,490) & TLR1 (£10,174- £17,216)
  • Responsible to: Headteacher

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure excellent standards of teaching & learning across the subject.
  • Take responsibility for the strategic overview of the department, including self-evaluation and the improvement plan for the department.
  • Monitor student progress and implement strategic intervention for the department.
  • Develop the curriculum, schemes of work and assessment across all key stages.

Essential Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status or equivalent.
  • Ability to demonstrate an awareness, understanding and commitment to the protection and safeguarding of children.
  • Ability to evidence effective continuous professional development.
